My family came out this weekend to celebrate Memorial day. We had a fantastic time and wished they could have stayed longer. They arrived Saturday night late, Sunday we went to church and then relaxed and played games. Monday we went to Huntington Beach and was there all day. The weather report said highs 65 but was totally wrong. It was in the high 70's at least. We had so much fun. We did surfing, body boarding, sand volleyball, frisbee and of coarse played cards. We even had a BBQ and had hot dogs, corn on the cob and smores at night. Perfect day other then the fact that we all managed to get sunburned except Mason. Thank goodness Mason never got sunburned, we rigged up a shade tent with his stroller and blankets to keep him safe. Everyone else has been applying massive amounts of aloe gel to sooth their poor skin.
Mason was so excited to see all of his Aunts and Uncles and of coarse Grandma, Grandpa. I was worried Mason would not recognize them and be shy, but he was the opposite. He jumped right in their arms and had a blast all weekend, he even cried when they left. They ended up leaving Tuesday around 1pm. We were going to go to San Diego zoo today but we were all tired and didn't want to be in the sun. Dad and the girls had to be back for work first thing Wednesday morning so it was good they left earlier.
